The short version

Crescendo is designed with a simple privacy principle: your data stays on your device. The app runs entirely on your iPad, makes no network connections, and keeps everything it saves on your device. There are no Crescendo accounts, no servers, no analytics, no trackers, and no advertising. We have nothing to sell because we collect nothing.

1. Scope

This policy covers both the Crescendo website (getcrescendo.app) and the Crescendo iPad app. It is written to be plain and verifiable.

2. What we collect

Nothing. Crescendo does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The app makes no network connections and has no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

3. What stays on your device

To make the app work, Crescendo stores the following locally on your iPad only, in the app’s private storage:

Your profile and progress — XP, levels, stars, streaks, achievements, and your practice journal.
Session recordings — the notes, timing, and pedal data from sessions you play, used to show you feedback and track your improvement.

This information never leaves your device. It is removed if you delete the app.

4. Connected devices

Crescendo reads note and pedal data from a USB-MIDI piano or keyboard you connect to your iPad. This data is processed on-device for gameplay and feedback and is not stored or transmitted anywhere off the device.

5. The website

The Crescendo website is a static, server-rendered site. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; if you prefer not to contact that service, your browser’s standard privacy controls apply.

6. Children’s privacy

Because Crescendo collects no data at all, it collects no data from children. The app is suitable for all ages.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app introduces any feature that collects or transmits data (for example, an optional online lesson-review feature), this policy will be updated and you will be asked for clear consent before any data is shared.
